Only rent if you can stand never getting your maintenance request handled, your calls to Management never returned, your rental payments mishandled, never corrected and any requests regarding the building never being taken care of. when the first Manager was living there, you would put a request through the toll free number and John would even call you to make sure the idiot, lazy maintenance person actually did his job. Now, the maintenance person ignores calls, lies about jobs being fixed and takes one week to get any miniscule jobs done. I wanted to move out when the efficient Manager left and I should have. I absolutely hate the managers they have hired and there have been three of them. I hate the building so much that I am willing to ruin my rental credit and never pay rent until I move out. They refuse to do work in my apartment and they could care less as they live in the building. YOu would think that getting a rental discount while you hold a job would make you work? Not at the Abby. The owners are super cheap and could care less. The rents are too high for such a poorly managed place where the Managers are changed every 3 months. They can barely speak proper english, so they can barely write. If there is an issue, you pretty much don't know about because they cannot write memos to inform tenants for the life of them. rent any buildings next door or around, but this building is not worth. It is worth it if you have a personal maintenance guy or handy person to fix your apartment issues. Cause the managemenet is non-existent and the Owners only want your cash. Water pressure suck in this building and this has been ongoing since I moved in February of 2009! If there is a problem with the door, you have to beg for it to be fixed while there could be anybody entering the premise... Stay away from the ABBY. I am packing up as we speak and hope to never even remember that i lived under such pathetic owners and lazy managers.
