Review for Archstone Island Reach Apartments

I recently moved in to find huge bottle flies in my apt. I didn't even know what they were. Aparently they eat off the flesh of dead animals. The people at the leasing office were very nice, but they did not help the problem. The had someone go up there and spray and put poison. When they guy went up there he found a dead rat. After about a week of me staying somewhere else b/c I could not take the flies I thought the problem was over. At night I started hearing rats above my head. Not just one either- by the sound it was OBVIOUS there were several. I pleaded with the management to please get something done. They finally called a great company called Critter control. The guy inspected the attic and the outside of the building. He said the insulation in the attic was so torn up from rats and so full of urine and poop it was aparent there was a serious problem. He said there were many many holes in the building the rats could get in through. All the attic vent holes on the top of the building have no screens in them. In my unit alone there were 7 holes rats could get into. I waited and after 3 days of the management not even calling me to follow up I broke my lease. I should have reported them to the state, but since my main concern was moving my things out and finding a new apt, I never got around to it. I hope everyone stays away from this place. It is very sad they would let people move in there with this problem. STAY AWAY
