Review for Ashley Lake Apartments

My husband, 3 kids and I only lived here for 4 months, then had to get out. Aside from looking nothing like the website, (we came from out of state, so didn't have time or money to look around first)the school district is horrible and it's so unsafe. There were shady drug dealers, punk thugs out at all hours of the night, people having sex in the hot tub and pool, baby's w/o diapers and poop in the pool, used condoms and needles on the side of the path, loud domestic disputes, people carrying guns, an armed robbery, and a very unsafe playground. The breezeways are poorly lit, parking is horrible, and the management staff is useless. Yes, we experienced this in only 4 months of living there. After writing a letter to management about how unsafe it was, they agreed to let us pay the rest of the month and let us leave with no strings attached. Get everything in writing, b/c these liars will tell you one thing, then bend what they said to their own convenience. After we moved out, they started asking for almost $2,000 for breaking the lease. That was not part of the agreement! Needless to say, don't live here unless you want to get stabbed, then dicked out of your money.
