Apartment Reviews for Indian Hills Olen Properties - Boynton Beach

I've lived in this community for a few years now. I moved in because of their good reputation, it was gated and well lit. I also had several friends who once lived here. <P>
In the beginning, the community was very nice, very safe and lots of people of all ages. The gates deterred criminals as it made it much harder to get away so easily. Walking around the community at night was so eerie, there was little or no need to fear someone was going to jump out of the bushes. <P>
Now, there have been several break-ins (apartments & vehicles) as well as vehicles thefts. Not at my place yet, thank goodness. All because the community sees it no longer necessary to lock the gates and has even removed the Main entry gate which once required a badge in entry. While there is still a security guard that walks the community, (well I think there is as I no longer see him at night, but the Leasing office assures me he is there.), he is never any place to be found and on a few occasions have seen him playing cards with a friend rather than protecting me and my fellow Lessee's from harm. Additionally, with the past years hurricanes there are many open spots around the outside walls, giving further vulnerability to what was once a very peaceful and safe community to live as a single, couple or family. <P>
So, before you make the decision to move here think about what is most important to you. The rents arent cheap and other communities now offer more amenities and better security. <P>
