Apartment Review for Lake Howell Arms Condo

We've been here for the last 7 months and are renting from a private owner. The apts themselves are really, really old and ours is particular needs some serious renovations. The walls are a little thin but it's not like you can hear your neighbor's convo word for word. We regularly see maintenance employees working on the property so the grounds seem to be routinely kept up. Management has super short office hours but we haven't needed to contact them so far.

The major problem we have and thanks to a local company, we've gotten it under control but pest control is an issue. I don't know if it has to do with being on the ground floor or that the condos themselves are so old that bugs have been found a way to get in but it is something we have battled for a while. We are winning the war thanks to the treatments but it is probably a good idea to get it done as a preventative measure.

I also take issue with the annoying left turn you have to make to get into the property. Starting at around 4pm on weekdays, people like to block the intersection and you can sometimes miss your left turn light because these idiots here couldn't wait til their next light.

We have three other neighbors we share our side with and other than the family (or families) above us; our neighbors are great and private. There seems to be a good mix of young and old, families and students, it's really a good mix of people and it seems to work well. Overall it has been a good experience living here but we won't renew our lease simply because our particular apt is so old and we have a new baby.
