Apartment was awesome and rent was a good price.

An old neighbor from this property emailed me the link to this website. I don't know what happened with some of these other people but I rented my first apartment at the Rivera Isles from Perkins Properties and it was a great experience. I could literally walk to class from my apartment in 10 minutes. They fixed everything I ever had a problem with. When I complained about noise and cigarette butts from the apartment above me they sent them a notice and it stopped. And I DID get my FULL Deposit back because I did not break anything! Duh!

I just moved out of my apartment in Sevilla Isles, which is also owned by Perkins Property. I had to move because the company I work for relocated me to Tampa. I am going to truly miss my beautiful apartment and the Perkins Property Staff. They always bent over backwards for me and even helped me move in a huge piece of furniture when my friends weren't able to help me move in. I rented from Perkins for an entire year and have always found them to be professional and timely with any repairs I requested. After reading some of the negative responses, I was shocked! It sounds like some of the people are trying to bad mouth a great landlord because they didn't comprehend the contract and weren't able to perform accordingly. I agree that the contract is very detailed, but in all honesty, I would much rather rent from someone who makes both parties obligations clear and concise. I think it not only makes your job easier as a tenant but it also makes your quality of apartment living much more enjoyable. You can rest assured knowing that the landlord expects everyone to respect the property as well as the residents in the building. I would recommend renting from Perkins Property to anyone who is looking for a wonderful experience regardless of how long you need an apartment. I have had some horrible landlords in the past and I think it has helped me to really appreciate a good one. I miss my apartment!

I have lived in several properties owned by Tom Perkins and he has always been professional and responsive. The ONLY negative comments I can make is that due to the area, a lot of the tenants are University students. They're constantly loud, litter the property and I've even seen them purposely damage property in retaliation of having to pay late fees. If you are a responsible adult and can actually pay your rent on time, then definitely consider renting from them.
