Prices are a bit high, but I think it's more about our location than anything. We're two minutes from the mall, a bunch of different places to eat, gas stations, Target, K-mart ect......This is a gated community, however the gate has been broken since June 2005, and it's still not fixed. It is now March 2006. We made the mistake of renting the smallest 1 bedroom, which doesn't have washer/dryer hookup. So we ended up having to use the laundry facilities here. It's a pain in the butt. You have to go into the office to buy a laundry card before even being able to go into the laundry rooms. The laundry facilities are terrible. Two of the washers are broken and are filled with stinky water. Washers cost $1.25 a load. Dryers cost $1.25-$1.50 a load and they don't dry your clothes, you have to run it through twice. For the size of the apartments, they are asking a bit too much for them. Prices continue to go up up up! The staff are VERY nice though. they are always willing to assist you in any way that they can. They remember you, your boyfriend, your dog, your apartment number......And considering how many people live here, that's an accomplishment. Appliances could be newer. We do have quite a few problems with our apartment but I believe we just got the rotten egg out of all of them. The Breakers are a pet friendly complex......all sizes are welcome, however there are some breed restrictions. There is a $300.00 pet deposit, but no monthly pet rent. Overall it's an okay place to be. It's not perfect, but it's not "White-Trash" like one of the other reviewers stated. This is not a new apartment complex, it's been around since the 80's. Everything is not going to be brand new and shiny. I love the atmosphere, there is a great view of the lake, all of my neighbors are friendly and courteous.
