Apartment Reviews for Emerald Park
Glorified Hotel room...

If you don't mind getting next to no sleep on a regular basis, due to the inconsiderate neighbors, then this is the place to be. My husband and I have lived here for quite some time now and the experience has been horrible!! I'm not too sure what the requirements are for moving in here because, this place is loaded with young adults (just out of High School young). I often wonder if these apartments are being rented to these young adults by their parents. I only say that because, the last 2 1/2 years that I've been here, I've seen 7 different tenants come and go from the 3 apartments surrounding us. When they're moving in, they're accompanied by their parents. Their appearance and demeanor is very deceiving because, after their parents leave to go back up north or where ever it is they're from. The young adults become very immature, loud, disrespectful and very inconsiderate to their neighbors. On numerous occasions the cops were called on them in the early am hours, due to noise disturbances. Mind you, these students don't work, all they do is go to school and get drunk. And yes, their rent is being paid by their parents (I've actually asked a tenant or two). Does it end there? "No" It only gets worse. These apartments come in 1 or 2 bedroom, but there is only 1 parking spot assigned to an apartment and most have 2 to 3 vehicles. Where we're at there's only 3 visitors spots near our building, which consist of 16 apartments or so. So, there's constant aggravation. Then to top that one off, we often have some kid who just doesn't care or doesn't know how to read the word "reserved" and park in our spot. We've had one confrontation, which almost got physical and we've had 4+ vehicles towed from our spot. Really, who wants to live like this? It's very stressful! There are vehicles constantly being either vandalized or robbed, but I guess if you have parents who pay for everything, you wouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff. We're independent citizens with 3 children that are under the age of 15. My husband works a full-time job, which includes the weekends as well as myself. We rarely get a break from the noise and the disrespect unless it's a holiday, like Christmas or Thanksgiving. So, who ever works for a living, I strongly would not recommend choosing Emerald Park Apartments as your home because, it certainly doesn't feel like home, it's basically a Hostel. I'll finish by saying that the manager of this park is more concerned for it's exterior appearance oppose to re-modeling or making necessary upgrades to the interior. Our tubs are cracked, there's a nice gap in the front doors, toilet need to be replaces as well as the sliding glass door. This place is a nightmare. It's been a living **** living here.
