Where do I begin? I have rented here for two years and have never been as excited to leave a place in my life. Before the Boardwalk changed management the place was completely horrible. I will review it under its current management, Paradigm, since that is only fair. Some members of management are helpful however, most are not. On one occasion I was on my way back to Gainesville from out of town and realized that I didnt have my key. It was about 4:00p and the office was supposed to close at 5:00p that day. I called and asked Luis if he could give me a key to my apartment and he instructed me to be there before 5:00. When I got to Gainesville it was 4:45p and I called again to make sure he was still there. No answer. He had left early even when he knew I was coming. On that note, maintenance requests have been fulfilled 50% of the time. Usually they are something serious like the AC not working when it is 90 degrees outside. I have had no working AC in this apartment about 5 times in the past year and the office does not exactly trip over themselves to resolve the problem. Also, roam towing was reinstated a few months ago following a nice reprieve and the company they use, Ultimate Towing, is terrible. Just the other night, I was physically blocked in by two tow trucks so that I could not leave. When I asked one to move he sat on the bumper of his truck and crossed his arms refusing to move as long as I "kept hassling him." What if I had a medical emergency or a friend was in the hospital? I was trapped into my own apartment complex by Ultimate Towing!! Also, he broke the window of the car he was towing to safely secure the wheel to tow it! Apparently they are allowed to do that in Fl?! Additionally, Boardwalk has a contract with Domino's Pizza where handbills are placed on your door frequently. Don't plan on leaving town unless you want your place robbed. To top it all off, the walls in this complex are paper-thin. I have said "bless you" to my neighbor when he's sneezed a few times as a joke. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. It is to old, run-down, and the management is only here to make money off of you and they pay absolutely no attention to any concerns you may have about your safety or convenience.
