I live in a 2-bedroom apartment in Phase I. I like my apartment and have enjoyed living in Madison Pointe; however I would not recommend living here because of the price. Rent has been going up each year and is now much too steep for a 30-year-old apartment with no special amenities. As with most apartment complexes, the model apartment you get to tour is much nicer than the other apartments, and you should not expect the apartment you would be living in to look anything like it. While there are not any serious problems with my apartment, it was built in the 70s and is nowhere near perfect conditionthe walls have been patched in many places, the wires for the ceiling fans are draped across the ceiling rather than inside the walls, cabinets and doors dont close tightly, walls and counters do not meet up smoothly, doors and windows are not sealed well, faucets drip, toilets often have to be flushed twice, etc. All appliances work, but they are not especially nice or new. I have never been bothered very much by any of things, but anyone who pays $875 for an apartment in this condition is getting ripped off. Also, this apartment complex is owned by Paradigm, who is notorious for cheating people out of money. For example, when you sign a new lease, you are required to pay a very high redecoration fee. I have not been able to figure out what this money goes towards since the person moving out is charged for all cleaning, repairs, and repainting. When I moved in, everything in my apartment was old, including the carpet, which was worn, buckled, and stained in a few places. Office staff changes somewhat frequently, but is always friendly and fairly helpful. However, since this is a Paradigm property, the top priority is signing new leases rather than keeping current residents, so dont expect management to be as flexible once the lease has been signed. If you can afford to pay nearly $900 for a 2 bedroom apartment, I would recommend looking for an apartment that is newer or nicer than Madison Pointe or that includes something extra, like cable or internet service.
