Review Title:   The Good And Bad

Townhomes are very nice. Pulling into the complex is very nice (except for the landscaping wall that is collapsing), and you can tell as soon as you enter that this is a nice development. The new management has been in place for a while and the rental manager is extremely nice and helpful and is quick to respond to any request or recommendaton you have. The owners sister is the manager of the entire development and she kinda thinks you are beneath her, but I luckily never deal with her. Grounds are upkept well, especially when they know the owner is coming to visit, then things really start happening with the upkeep. Units are very nice and laid out well. Construction is kinda shoddy, but nothing major. Small things like doors not lining up, walls crooked, floors creaking, etc. Only bad ting about it is I can hear the neighbors talking like they are in the same room with me. Most everyone I've met is very nice and I think everyone living in there has a dog. I don't, but I am a dog lover and people seem to pick up after them. Couple issues are that a lot of the renters and owners are college students who think the parking lot is a race track. Know I've seen some of these jerks hit 50mph in a 10mph zone. Management put in speed bumps and signs trying to slow it down, but now the jerks think the speed bumps are a ramp to catch air. Glad I don't have any kids. Secondly is the bundling of the cable/internet/garbage/security. This is actually a nice idea as you can pay all by one check, but there is the rub, you have to pay by check as you cannot pay online like I can ALL my other bills. The owner of this complex owns the cable system and uses Direct Tv as the supplier. Therefore, you are paying this one fee to the owner. I have no problem with that except for.....are you ready....they charge you a 5.00 fee to bill you!! Yes, you read that right, you are paying them to send you a bill! Secondly, you can reach no one at the main office for this cable system on a Sunday. The volume constantly goes out on certain channels and when you call about it, they could care less, and if it's a Sunday, you get no one, not even an emergency number! For example, the sound went out before the championship football game on Sunday and even the complex office could not get a hold of anyone in the main office. Thought for sure there would be a riot. People have compalined about this constantly, but the problem is, the owner could care less. If he had to use his own system, things would change. I think they will have a problem if they try to raise the rent on people, especially because of this. There is a new development being built right next door, and I can't wait!! Hope the rent is comparable. I would recommend Magnolia Place only because of the rental manager and the grounds. Pool is nice as well! As for the utilities, that's another issue.
