As far as the buildings themselves, not bad. In fact they are in the process of painting the townhomes now, and they are going to look great. As for the company who manages the apartment units we rent (unsure if they are the same for townhomes, which may or may not be sold individually) they are so so so difficult to work with. From even before we signed our lease contract it began. The office staff is seemingly very nice but very disorganized, which resulted in never being 100% sure how much money they were going to want since everyone has a hand in everything and can't keep straight figures, to moving in and finding a plethora of things that needed recitifed- even after the unit had been recarpeted and painted. Appliances didn't work, worked poorly, or, in the case of our refridgerator, were tried to be passed off as in good condition after I saw it totally covered in disgusting mold, and was told it would be replaced. It then took a near battle to get it replaced (with another used one.) While maintenence will come in and repair things usually fairly quickly, they certainly don't do more than minimally necessary, and will wait until you point out something that needs done, and you might have to even argue with management to get it done. Then they'll leave dirt on your floors and spots on your rug. I'm never renting another apartment from AMJ, so help me God. All I can say is, I hope we are an isolated case, but they are there to make money and I feel they will crap on you in order to do so. Take pictures, make yourself heard. They will make things difficult for you- every aspect that they are a part of is a headache, but the apartment complex is not bad, pretty quiet and locale is convienent.
