Upon moving in, my apartment was a mess. Filth was apparent everywhere, I had a hole in my wall, and no carpet in my closet. During my 6mo stay eventually the dividers between rooms came off the floor, the bathroom ceiling developed a leak, and the dead bolt wouldn't turn and we couldn't lock our apartment. All the while the room I rented stayed 90 degrees verses the rest of the apartments 68. I had to constantly run a fan. For the price that you pay this is unacceptable.
Here comes the bad part: When someone in my family fell ill with a fatal illness I found out I can't break my lease. I had to find someone to move in. I thought I found someone and moved out. Apparently he didn't move in. I got a call from my old roommate a month later and was informed that I had late fees from not paying my rent. Yet University Glades never called me, even though I was assured I'd recieve a call if anything fell through. Now I have to pay 7mos rent for an apartment I'm not even in. These people make too much money of college kids struggling to get by. They must sleep like angels at night...
