I lived in a 2/2 that costs me $555.00 per month. Not too bad if you count the fact that everything is included. Be prepared, however, to be persuaded by the many tricks that the management will play to get you to sign. The first lie is that your only move in cost is August rent (even though you're moving in at the end of August) and that you have the rent for next August wauved. LIE LIE LIE. I checked my mail today and The Estates is really kicking every one who didn't re-sign out on the first. So what happened to the $555.00 I payed last year that was supposed to cover this August??? Well, the notice said to not ask any questions. Just move out on the first.
They will also lie to you and tell you that your rental rate is locked in. LIE LIE LIE. If I were to re-sign, I would be paying an additional $10 a month while first time residents will have to pay $20 more per month (that doesn't include a car port, poolside view, an apartment closer to the bus stop or anything).
When you tour the apartment for the first time, they'll show you a three bedroom deluxe which is not representative of what your actual apartment will look like size-wise. Unless you have visited friends who already live there, you'll be dissatisfied on move-in day when they give you the keys to your new coffin sized room that you're wasting your parent's money on. The brochures they will show you of the rooms have deceptive square-footage info. After realizing that, my rooomate and I almost went to Student Legal Services to get a lawyer.
Some perks of living there are maintenance (even though they told me to unscrew my own door knob when I locked my self out the first day), the 24 hour computer lab (whose printer never works), the security gate (that hasn't been working for a month now), the gym, the pool, and the fact that people will think you're rich (or a foolish spender) for living there.
Hope this review helps!!!!!!!!!!!!
