Positive Apartment Reviews and Ratings
Great, no-frills apartment! ( over a year ago )

I've been living in these apartments for 2 years while in grad school and am moving to another state. I wanted to write an honest review to help out others looking for apartments. I'll give the pros first and then the cons: I first got my apartment through a sublease and was initially impressed with how professional and courteous the staff are. That is still true today- they are on a first name basis with you and have excellent customer service skills. Same can be said for the maintenance. In my 2 years, I've only made a few minor maintenance calls, and my requests are consistently addressed in a timely manner. The apartment itself is pretty basic but has everything you'd really need. I love that I have a dishwasher, washer & dryer, and balcony. The complex is quiet and seems to be home mostly to professional/grad students and small families. It is very pet-friendly, and the residents tend to do a good job of cleaning up after pets. I have never had any concerns about safety or anything like that. The complex is in a wooded area, and I love the green space surrounding my apartment. The complex is located close to Shands and UF as well as downtown restaurants and bars and sits right on a bus route. There is a decent gym here and two pools, which I've enjoyed.
As with anywhere, there are downsides to living here. Its an older complex and so the floors are squeaky and the appliances are older. The pools are pretty basic and because of the trees, they often have leaves in them.

Treehouse is a perfect apartment for people trying to save a bit of money. The maintenance staff is excellent and fixes stuff in a timely manner. They also carry dog treats around and will offer one to your puppy!
The management is also amazing and is always friendly.
The issues with noise are present, but it has never bothered me. While there is extra noise due to thin walls there are no parties or drunk college students so it evens out.
The pools are nice and the workout facilities are adequate.
All in all, its a great place for the price with excellent management.

Great place to live.... Its a very quiet place with lots of trees, good swimming pools and a great gym. I lived here for more than an year and had no management or parking problems at all. The management is very friendly and fixes any of your problem wihin no time. Its a bit far from the university and connected by only one bus route.
Overall I found it as an excellent place to live.

Overall, I would recommend Tree house Villiage. The management is very nice! And they care about what you need, when you need it.
When we were signing up Mary (the manager) asked us what we wanted most concerning our apartment. We told her about three or four specific things (I wasn’t expecting all of them). And she ended up with an apartment that met all our requirements.
The appliances were older models, but they are quick to fix or replace them. My washer broke and they immediately replaced it. They did the same for my oven. Also, the apartments were older, so there was wear and tear. But nothing that bothered me.
The noise is louder, but the buildings are old. I could only hear the TV next door sometimes (faintly I might add) and the occasional loud burst of laughter. I will warn you though that if you are on the first floor the ceilings are squeaky. My down- stairs neighbors said that it is easy to get use to.
It isn’t the safest area, it is the SW side of town so I didn’t feel comfortable going out a night by myself. Other than that I felt 100% safe.
I hope this is helpful to you; Tree house is a great place to stay. We only moved because our family is expanding. :)

I love were I live that are really real. They take care of business in a timely fashion and they are respectful. I have needed to ask for things to be completed in the apartment but that took less than a week to happen. The noise level depends on the time of the year it is, near graduation and on graduation there is alot of noise. My neighbors are quiet and polite. And if there is a probelm, such as leaving the radio on while they are out of town, that is something I deal with. If you are looking for a price that can't be bet and a price that will stay constant will you reant there no raises then this is a place for you! Happy hunting

The office staff and maintence guy have been amazing with me ever since I've been here. They are super friendly and helpful. The rent is so cheap it's the envy of all my friends and yet the apartment is very liveable. It's not the classiest place in town but the washer and drier in the unit is a great feature and anything that goes wrong always gets fixed. It's in a great wooded setting and the only thing that takes away from the atmosphere is it's proximity to the "bad" part of town. I used to throw a lot of big parties here last year and no one ever complained about parking or noise. I can often hear the upstairs neighbors walking around but I assume that happens with many apartment complexes and it's easy to tune-out. I've lived here for two years and the only reason I'm moving out is because they don't offer one bedroom apartments here. My younger sister is coming to UF next year, and once she gets off campus, I'm going to recommend Treehouse.

The mangement here is wonderful. i am a very picky person and when i moved in, mary sat down with me and asked me what was most important to me about me the apartment(location, appilances, carpet, etc) i told her applances..she found me an apartment with a brandnew washer and dyer, stove, and dishwasher...the were all brandnew!!! Plus they choose to replace the carpet b/c it was borderline and they knew i would apperciate it. i love my apt. treehouse is very pretty..lots of trees..the excerise room is below par though:( and there is a noise problem...not quite as bad as others would led you to beilve, but i swear i thought a herd of elephants lived above me, when my upstairs neighbors moved in. all in all is a good place to live, for not very much money

I lived a Treehouse Village from August 2002 through July 2004. The only downfall was the walls and floor are a little thin. Management was VERY friendly and seemed to care about the residents. They do NOT put up with parties though and a little too tough on garbage being outside the front door but I guess that is a bad thing anyhow.
Live on the top floor though because the ground is a little sqeeky. They fixed mine when I complained but most people just put up with it.
Over all a great value for the rent amount.

I like the floorplan of the apartments. the walls are very thin therefore i can hear my neighbors coughing, talking, watching tv, moving in their bed..it's horrible. the apartment model is much nicer than when i first walked into my apartment. some of the construction was even different which i was not happy with. the apartment i live in is much more rundown and uglier than what they show..i moved in because i was impressed with the model then was let down. the cabinets are falling apart, the fridge was rusty and off balance, there are bug problems..it's just not what i had expected. the only thing i enjoy is that it's quieter than living on the corner of Archer Rd and 34th St.
