Apartment Reviews for Atlantic Crossing At Deerwood Park - Jacksonville

I thought these would be the best apartments to move in....Was I wrong ...the staff is very rude and unwelcoming...well let me change that...one of the staff members acts that way...they give you the around...they discriminate and arent kid friendly...I was once in love with these apartments...now I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE!!

The staff at Atlantic Crossing are wonderful and very helpful. Maint responds quickly. I love the lay out of my apartment. I enjoy living here, need I say more.

Atlantic Crossing is a wonderful community and the staff there is by far the best that I have encountered while leasing an apartment. The area is beautiful and the apartments while a little overpriced are gorgeous! especially the third floor with the 12ft ceilings!! It is a small community but the personalized service you get everytime you enter the Leasing Office is outstanding. I highly recommend it!!

Carpets are the cheapest one can imagine. They are bumpy and too hard to step on in some spots. No attention to details. What are those two stupid polls doing right at the entrance of the room? I have talked to several people about them and they all said the same thing: What a moronic idea of interior design! There is no attention to detail. I have to lean over backward to get to the toilet paper! Hey, interior designer, do you know that you forgot to put a towel rack in that huge bathroom?

SOUND-PROOFING is zero!!!!. I can hear every little thing going on upstairs... coughing, burfing... you get the picture... And, there is no security at all... In short, this apartment is not worth the price, period!!!!!

We have been living at this complex for about 5 months now. We have lived in some other very nice places before so we are in a position to compare. I can summarize our experice as follows:

- Business Center area, Gym, lobby: Very nice...
- Staff: Very nice, professional and friendly. They make you feel like part of the family.
- Safety: OK
- Utilities:Nice

Negatives:

- Constructional materials: Very poor
- Architectural design: OK in some areas and very poor in others
- There are some nails pointing upward in the carpets
- Orders: Usually get done after several inquires. Frustrating...
- Water: Not hot, too hard, low pressure
- Saftey:There is no security system like cameras in the hallways. I feel scared walking in the hallways at night or early in the morning.
- Hallways/Staircases: They are unfinished! They look like they belong to a warehouse rather than a luxary residential. They are almost always littlered with dead bugs, leafs, cigarette buts etc...Although the building is very new, some staircases already show signs of needing repair.
- Noise: Too noisy near the street. But I am sure the other apts away from the street are fine.

I moved to Atlantic Crossing about a months ago. Construction materials are the cheapest they could find! Design is very comical. I really have my doubts about the architets of this place -- i wonder which school they went to. Ufortunately very bad use of space for the most part. Who could imagine getting to your walk-in closet thru your bathroom? And the toilet in the bathroom is separated with a door. So actually you have 3 doors when you walk into the bathroom: 1 to the toilet, 1 to your closet, the 3r done to your cupborad...Hmmm... The windows open upward but htere is no stopper to stop them! The space between the toilet paper holder and the wall is so narrow that you have to cut off your toilet paper to make it fit. There is no shower rod, you have to buy it yourself. The barhroom is huge but the towel bar is only wide enough for one towel... There is no water filter! Water is only luke-warm... water pressure is very low...You are not going to enjoy taking a shower I promise! It is definitly not worth the price they are charging... I am not going to extend my lease...

The office staff and maintenance staff are very friendly and always willing to help me in any way possible. I've lived in other apartments before and have never felt more like home.
I would recommend Atlantic Crossing to anyone, it's a wonderful place to live. I call about a problem and maintenance shows up the same day. They make me feel like family.

I have rented at few different places in Jacksonville and this place is by far the best. I drove past on my way to work while they were being built and couldn't wait to see them finish. The design is very unique. They have many valuble amenities a cyber cafe where I start every morning.
