Apartment Review for Cape House

This place is terrible sure it looks nice when you take to tour but if you really look the trash compactor is a terrible Eye Sore it always stays overfilled for 2-3 days before anyone runs the compactor to keep it looking decent glass is on the steps leading up to the compactor and you better watch your step walking aroung the complex because neighbors often leave dog poo where ever and are not really concerned with the smell or the look of it and the staff is terrible they are rude and very short with the tenents when they request any service. Neighbors are loud and plan on not sleeping when it comes spring break week or the whole summer because kids are aloud for some reason to hang out by the pool and drink and get out of control I've called the police on many ocassions and nothing happens they leave when the police comes and 1 hour later they are back!!!!! I call to have something fixed they say they'll come that day and ask your premission to enter the apartment i say sure for that day then they show up day or two later and no notice and they have no concern that you may not want them to come in at that time. They do well with keeping the place sprayed for pest but how awful would it be if you were having a dinner party and they came knocking at your door at 7pm to to a check for termites remind you , you could be having a romantic evening as well and they come knocking on your door? I had guest over one day and that happed to me and I was mortified at the fact here we all were having a nice dinner and they are searching for termites and one moring they came to spray and I heard a key go in the door after two knocks like they were going to enter and I was laying in the bed and that was not a great situation either... Given every apartment complex has its problems I've lived in alot of places and alot cheaper and I have a list of things i hate about this place I'm moving soon and can't wait.!!!! My List of reasons not to live here: Million speed bumps/terrible for your car and it takes 10 min to get out of complex, gates never work for more than a week Hot tub is not working half the time Kids play in the gym and tear up equipment, PARTYS ALL NIGHT long by the pool any night it's nice out, if you live down stairs you hear your neighbors easily, when the gates are working they have a code you put in and when you stop to put the code in you may come at the time the sprinklers go off and oh yeah it gets you wet and the inside of your car wet just to be able to get into the complex when the gate works usually this happens about 11pm but those of you who come home at that time something to consider, Grounds keepers get stuff up on your car and don't care, Broken down cars left for over a year and nothing done about it, no parking you have to walk near a mile if you come home past 9pm you have to be home by 2-3 pm to get a decent space they allow boats to be all parked between bld 9and 10 and good luck getting out in the morning to go to work b/c if someones hooking them up you can't get around them I've been late to work more than once b/c of this mold in window seals windows have some kind of frost look to them in some and you can't see out of them and they dont' fix this either i have a great view i pay for but can't see thru a window! neigbors patios are trashy and nothing gets done about it beer bottles left by the pool and ash trays yuk! Carpet is cleaned by steam and a few months after you move in staings reappear and they don't clean them Cracks in tile in the bathroom showers, the rates are never the same and every apartment is priced differenty they talk everyone into 15-18 month lease by telling you if a certain apartment is leased for 15 or 18 months it will be cheaper! The prices clime way too high for what this place in worth your neighboor could be paying much less and you much more for the same thing!!!!!!!! <P>
Couple good things: Big kitchens Large Bath Tubs High Ceilings Only Two Story Bld Nice Location near JTB and Beach Blvd Two toned paint in Kitchen area Big sliding glass doors in living area nice for sunshine to come in Fans in Bed room and living room Court Yards with fence in some apartments 3Br I think Comes with Washer/Dryer <P>
You have alot of nice things but it doesn't weigh out all this bad stuff not even close.... There are so many choices in Jax dont' live here!!!!!!!!! Make sure to check out all that Hodges has to offer... <P>
