I've moved around quite a bit and have lived in over a dozen apartment complexes in different cities. My job has called for me to move again, and I am sad to leave this complex. No apartment complex is perfect, but the problems I've faced here are minimal. The unit is very nice, the grounds are well kept and the office staff is nice to work with. They will actually listen to your request/issue and work with you to find a solution amenable to you both. They also offer many free services to the residents; for example, a personal trainer in the weight room several times a week and water aerobics in summer - again, all free. I really like living here, feel safe walking my dog at night and have had absolutely no problems with crime or disruptive behavior.

A great place to live.

Definitely give this place a look. It's priced about the same as the other complexes around here, but is so much nicer. When I moved in, it was like a brand new apt. Lots of small touches that make all the difference. They know me by name when I go into the leasing office. There are speed bumps throughout, but it really helps to slow traffic. I've lived in apt communities in several different states, and this is definitely one of the best.

If you are thinking of living here then here are some facts. The front gate will never work. Never has. I have lived here 6 months and the gate worked for one day. I wrote a letter to management and corporate headquarters and no response. One of the reasons I moved here was that it was a gated community I thought. Too bad I dont get money back for the lack of gate. Next is there are way too many speed bumps here. Someone went crazy with that idea. Parking is what it is. I have lived in apartments for the last 12 years so if you have to park a ways from your apartment then oh well. How often do you get a perfect spot at the mall. Exactly. True there is only on dumpster located in the back of the complex instead of on the way out. Dum location. They have one covered space to wash car and it is lit at night. Need more spaces to wash car. When I moved in apartment was in ok condition. My oven looked like it had been beat up by last tenant, but everything worked. I had one moldy vent which I took down and bleached myself. Somethings you cant wait for management to do. On the upside its relatively quiet in my apt. No real problems. Most of the lights around pond at night are out and maintenance doesnt seem to care about that. Some of your neighbors seem to think that parking in front of someone elses garage or on grass is acceptable. They are just lazy. There are spots all over the place to park in and by their looks they could use the exercise. Oh I have never seen any security nor was I ever told there was security so I am not sure what others are talking about. If you want more privacy buy a house. If you are use to living around others then this place shouldnt be a problem.

I have lived at Cape House for about 3 years because, unfortunately, we signed a 2-year lease in order to get 3 months free. We are not renewing when our lease is up this time. I agree with the other reviews. The main problems: (1.) Maintenance is no good - you have to call several times before they even consider looking at your problem. Even after they look at it, it's not guaranteed to be fixed. (2.) Gates and hot tub never work (3.) No parking whatsoever (4.)Frequently change management. We had 1 tile that was cracked in our foyer. I called twice under the old management, and it was never fixed. I contacted the new management a couple of times. The maintenance guy came to look at it (after the crack had spread to 4 other tiles) and said it would cost too much to repair. He was suppose to look into alternative solutions, but we never heard from him again and the tile is still cracked. The office never performed our preliminary walk-through, and our carpet looked like crap when we first moved in. I called to get it cleaned since we've lived there 3 years and have never had it cleaned. The lady said the maintenance guy only cleans carpet for free for new renewals (even though we've renewed with them twice and never had a cleaning). She said he would charge us if he had to clean it. The management is very quick to tell the residents what to do (clean porches, move cars, etc.), yet they NEVER do what they are suppose to and are very slow to fix things.

i have lived here for almost 3 painful years, the only reason why that has happened is that the front office has changed hands over 4 times that they never relay the information from manager to manager and things never get done. So with that i have negotiated my rent down to below $800.00 for the nice 2 bedroom apartment with two months free. The crappy things about this place is that there is only one dumpster here for everyone, i have to go over 24 speed bumps every day, there is was nothing but college kids living in my building, NO PARKING, if you get the balls enough to park near the grass because it is raining and 12 a.m. they will leave a huge florecent yellow sticker on your window saying they will tow you, the office hours suck (9-5 m-sat) then only till noon on sunday, i have had two packaged given to other people from the front desk, hot tub never works, gate never works and when they said that it was going to work they demanded that my girlfriend had to buy a $50.00 card and put her name on the lease just to gain access to the grounds, no one in the front office has any personality, and god forbid you have to get ahold of someone after hours 9 times out of 10 they never get the message. Well other than that it isnt that terribly bad i have been stuck here for this long but only bcause of the right price.

My upstairs neighbor flooded her apartment and mine twice in a 30 day span. Not only did Asst. Mgr David Willett promise me that maintenance would take care of the damage, he also promised me that he would do everything he can to help us keep our residence flood free. As of the second instance, NOTHING in my apartment has been fixed, and they are now refusing to address the issue. Items that I listed on my move in inspection (over a year ago) still have not been fixed, and probably never will. Manager Monserrat Pujol and Asst. Mgr. David Willett are incompetent. Unfortunately, I cannot find a website for their corporate office, and conveniently no has the phone number to their supervisor. The leasing staff and a few maintenance personnel are the ONLY people that are courteous and do their jobs!

These apartments are nice, but you pay for what you get! Detached garages and fireplaces are available, but for extra fees.
Pluses:
Very responsive maintenance and management staff. Nice thick walls, almost never hear my neighbors, unless it is a late night party, which always is on the weekends. Very nice, helpful neighbors. Very spacious, light and airy kitchens, HUGE bathrooms and garden tubs. Beautiful, spacious,well-planned and well-kept grounds. Management is always planning functions and get togethers, including fund-raising events for charity.
Minuses:
Never enough parking though...unless you want to park 500 feet+ from your apartment, or grab a space while everyone is at work! And if you decide to park along the grass to be close to your apartment... they have your vehicle towed. The gate is constantly breaking down and never works. They only have one garbage compactor for 240 units, and it is always overflowing. Speedbumps everywhere, will ruin your vehicles' suspension in no time.
