I lived at Lake Carlton Arms for a year and a half now this place is the moon, immaculate place I have ever lived in my life. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I'm just so thankful, their staff supports you no matter what it is, they are there for you above and beyond what's required. The grounds are always extremely well manicured. I'm so proud to have guest come over to visit. Any issues are usually resolved under 24 hours turnaround. Also, I moved from a one bedroom to a two bedroom and it was the smoothest transient as they office is incredibly professional and equally efficient. Keep it LCA...YOU'RE THE BEST.

Me and my husband moved into lake carlton arms just a few weeks ago and we absolutely love it here and can't believe how beautiful it is in the complex. We came about a month ago and we were blown away! We had looked at many different apartment complexes that weekend and we definitely saved the best for last. Our leasing agent was unbelievable! HIs name was Tom and we were both very impressed by how nice and professional he was. He didn't rush us through the process like we felt everyone else did that weekend. He took his time and explained everything in detail which we really appreciated. His enthusiasm made us very excited to live here. We have been renting apartments for 15 years now and Tom was the best leasing agent we have every had. Also, the complex is on a few really nice lakes and it's clean and kept up very well. We had our first maintenance call a few days ago and we couldn't believe that someone came to our apartment within 2 hours of calling the office. His name was Kevin and he was very polite and took care of the problem right away. We have even met most of our neighbors and they all seem really nice. We don't understand why some other reviews of this place are negative but I know that some people just like to complain. It's a beautiful place and the rent is very modest. I just want to let everyone know what a great experience we have had here from our initial visit to now.

I moved here from South Florida (Coral Springs) due to a job transfer. I have rented various apartments in South Florida and the rents there are more than double compare to here. Not only do we get free cable here, water and plenty of parking, the staff are the best I ever met. Ms. Sharon was so helpful with our long move willing to help make it a smooth move in. The maintenance is remarkable. They fix anything you request sometimes on the same day you put a work order. It is so quite here you can hear your own voice. Yes there are kids riding thier skateboards where they shouldnt, but if you call the office, they will send the guard to check it out. The condition of our apartment is not new, but in good condition. This is the only place I ever rented that all my stuff fitted in the closets with space left over. The walks you take over the bridges to the pools is so beautiful that you forget all your troubles just standing there. Oh...can I say that they clean the pools EVERYDAY !!!! Never have I lived in a rental with such great service.

I do not understand what many of the people who have submitted reviews of Lake Carlton Arms are talking about!!!?? This place is wonderful! Yes, it is an older complex. Yes, the appliances are older. However, any time we have needed a repair of any kind, a VERY competent member of the maintenance staff responds quickly, FREQUENTLY within an hour! And their repairs are ALWAYS professional.
As for the courtesy patrol, the only time they are 'firm' (and courteous) with anyone, is when people are not being good tennants (i.e. very loud stereo, drunk and obnoxious, driving 45 mph through the parking lot, throwing their garbage bags into the garbage can area from the second floor, etc.).
Contrary to what many people have stated in their reviews, ALL of the office staff is always VERY courteous and helpful. Charlotte only gets testy when you pay your rent a week late.
I have lived in many apartments over the years. And, Lake Carlton Arms is the overall best I have ever lived in. Its is not as 'upscale' as some, but overall the best.
The problems you read about in these comments are not caused by Lake Carlton Arms. They are caused by lousy tennants. Those the very people who are giving Lake Carlton Arms bad reviews.

I'm not sure why these people have had such bad experiences here at LCA. I personally think it is a GREAT PLACE TO LIVE. The office staff is wonderful. They are friendly and entertaining. The courtousey guards always do what they can and are also very friendly. I think the people who wrote those coments need to look at what they are doing. Customer service is not an easy job. When dealing with this many people on a daily base it can get fustrating. Considering I think they all do an awsome job. By the way, there are 3 heated pools and pest control comes once every ohter month but are here every Wed. and will do it FREE OF CHARGE. What more do people want?

Well my husband, my 2 kids and myself have lived here for a year we just renewed our lease. It is a pretty good place to live we have had problems with maintaince coming out to fix things. Our upstairs toilet overflowed and they did come out quickly to fix but still has not sprayed the enzyme spray to prevent mold everytine we call for them to come do it they say oh you have to wait awhile it has been since before christmas. My dish washer doesn't work we have had 3 maintaince men come look at it and they say it is fine. It doesnm't wash my dishes but instead it breaks them(all I want is a new one) we don't have time to wash by hand all the time. As for security we were having a problem with my father inlaw and I called up to the security gate to let them know not to let anyone that gives our name and address and that didn't work they still let him in. The apt. is big for the price. We are getting brand new wahsers and dryers in all the laundry rooms. But all in all it is ok like most other complexes.

My husband and I are in our second apartment at LCA -- we upgraded to a larger apartment at the end of our first lease. The only "problems" I have with the complex are:
- the speed limits are not adhered to (but that's a resident issue more so than management).
- the office staff is not awful, but not the greatest either. I've never had any problems with the staff, but also never received outstanding service.
- when the parking areas were being restriped and the buildings were being pressure wash, the communication regarding these events was poor and confusing.
i would also like to correct a previous review that stated there are no heated pools -- there are actually 2.
i love that the complex is laid out in such a way that i feel more like i live in a neighborhood than in an apartment complex. the trees, lakes, and large grassy areas make the complex much more inviting than those complexes that seem to be nothing more than buildings and concrete.
the apartments are not "luxury" units, but they are comfortable. i have friends who live in "luxury" apartments, and i much prefer the atmosphere of LCA.
overall, my husband and I are very happy in LCA and are only considering moving out when we are able to purchase our first home.
