Apartment Reviews for Sherwood West Apartments
Stay away - really!

Where to begin ...
Bad plumbing - We've had two incidents already of sewage leaking (flooding even) into our apartment.
Laundry facilities - only one washer/dryer per floor, $2 per load per machine. What???
No mailbox for outgoing mail, you can only receive mail.
Management doesn't care about your problems unless it's an obvious health issue, and even then they'll drag their feet and sound utterly bored and unsympathetic when you're telling them about your plumbing emergency.
And when they do get around to having the plumber come around, they send out a nice little paper to all the apartments, informing tenants that it is their own fault there was a plumbing backup, and to stop either throwing food down the drains, or flushing non-toilet paper items.
Any maintenance issue that can be covered with paint, has been. We had two painted over sinks, a painted over bathtub, and many layers of paint over some water damage in various locations.
Sidewalks are full of cracks from the roots of the trees - no sign of any plans to fix it, just years of layers of some god-awful brick red paint.
Parking is OK - until about 6pm, at which point you have to fight for parking. Any later than 10pm? Forget it. You're parking either several buildings away from your apartment, or across the street.
Crime rate is alarming - I don't know statistics, but our neighbor's apartment was burglarized this month, and several months ago there was a rape in the next complex over.
Sound level is strange - you can be kept up at night by all sorts of banging and knocking noises, but it's difficult to hear your own doorbell or knocker if you're in either bedroom or bathroom.
My roommate and I are anxious to get out of this place as soon as possible.
