Doesn't Look Like Things Have Changed.

I was one of the very first ones to have moved here in 1998 when it was brand new. I lived in bldg. 9390 apt. 208. I lived there 3 years, but not because it was a great place. It was cheap and at the time I was single, going to school, and couldn't afford better. In the 3 years I lived there management changed hands at least 7 or 8 times. Each one promised to change things. One manager lived there and got beat up by her boyfriend and had drugs being sold outside her apartment. At one time a new manager took over and there were about 10 people working in the office including maintenance people and TWO police officers who lived there and were in charge of getting the riff raff out. I swear to GOD one of the police officers moved because the neighborhood was so bad. I know because they told me. The grounds were always littered with trash even though someone cleaned it everyday. In the afternoon there were always 2 entire bus loads of kids getting off in front of the complex who actually lived there. I wish I was lying. Even though the complex was brand new and I was the very first one to live in my apartment within 3 months things started falling apart and breaking in my apartment. I found out that everyone had this problem. It got so bad that I had to call the division of hotels and restaurants and they sent out an inspector to make them repair everything and things still didnt get fix right. There were a lot of drug activities going on. It was so bad that I was looking to buy a condo and went next door where there were some nice condos and found out a lot of people were selling because of the residents at River Front causing problems for them. I would be outside getting the mail or throwing out the trash and someone would drive by and ask if I lived there and what I though about the place. I always told them not to rent here and to come back at night and they will see why. At the time there were nothing but Puerto Ricans living there which I dont have a problem with, but anyone who has ever lived by Puerto Ricans knows to never do it again. Looking back I wish I had spent the extra $100-200 a month and lived somewhere else. Even if I would have had to take a second job to afford it would have been better then living with the noise, trash everywhere, and the worthless people who lived there.

Sorry to have written a book, but I felt I had to let others know that history truly repeats itself and the exact same problems that exist today existed in 1998 when they first opened. Looks like some things will never change.
