Review for Victoria Place Apartments

Where do I begin? We moved into our apt in August of 2004. Our first lease ended in Sept 05. We barely had any problems in that year. Maintenance was almost always on time and fixed any problems. The office staff actually listened to your problems and concerns. I never had to deal with the manager because none of our issues ever had to go that far. My fiancee and I renewed out lease in Sept 2005. Ever since then, this place has gone to $h!t. Here's an example that should send anybody running: I walked out my door one Saturday morning to be greeted by a hallway full of fecal matter. For those who are unsure of what fecal matter is, fecal matter is a nice way of saying poop. Now, I could understand a situation where if I lived on the first floor and a sick dog accidentally did that on the floor, I'd be more forgiving. However, there were 2 main problems with that scenario. 1st of all, there were no dogs on our floor that match could possibly drop that much fecal matter. There were 4-5 pound piles all over the place and smaller piles smashed into the floor around the hall. My dog is the biggest on our floor and she couldn't poop that much in a week. The other problem is that I'm on the 3rd floor!!! That means, someone had to comes upstairs and throw it around. So, when I called the office about it I was told that maintenance would come and clean it up on Tuesday. please reference the beginning of this story to put this all in perspective. That's right - I called Sat and was told they would come on Tues to clean it. I had to live with it for 4 days. To make matters worse, the same thing happened just 3 weeks later on a Fri afternoon. And again, I was told that maintenance would clean it Mon morning and to deal with it.

If that story weren't enough, here's another. We have new neighbors hat moved in around the beginning of January. They are 2 young men, both seem to be sophmores or juniors in college (and for the record. I have no problem with college students as I am a recent grad myself). Since they have moved in, their music has played almost non-stop at a very loud volume. What makes this worse it that they live BELOW US!! Yes, we can hear their music and their surround sound below us. About 3-5 times a week, around midnight, I call for the courtesy officer because I can't sleep because my apartment is shaking from their bass. (Side note - the courtesy officer is NEVER available and I'm told to call the Police Department's non-emergency line). The cops within 5-15 minutes (which is a very reasonable time for a non-emergency) and they turn the music off. About 30 minutes after the cops leave, the music comes back on, only louder.

So from poop to loud neighbors to unhelpful office staff, this place has it all.
