Apartment Review for Auvers Village Apartments

we started having problems the day we were SUPPOSED to move in. well we couldn't move in that day because the place was completely unlivable. the walls were stained, the ceilings were stained, the carpet was full of mold and mildew as well as stains. the whole place smelled terrible and it hurt your lungs to be in there for more than 20 minutes without going outside for a breath of fresh air. when we reported it to the office they said they'd send someone in to take care of it. so they sent in one guy who was there spraying the carpet with some sort of scent. one that gave everyone a headache. we had to make threats in order to get what we wanted out of them for moving in. needless to say we stayed in a hotel room that night and had the rent discounted because of it. <P>
i've been here about a month now and i've had the same service requests sitting there since the day we moved in. i had to keep getting on the office's case about it until finally i got my father involved where he had to start making threats again. their untimely and VERY SLOW work to be done caused my roommate to have to miss classes. the maintenance staff talks to us like we're idiots and the office staff acts like idiots. <P>
as far as noise..well the people above us are the noisiest neighbors i've ever had and blast their music at 5am or stomp around 24/7. i'm actually shocked i haven't heard them yet tonight. they must be too high to move. <P>
i don't feel safe walking around here at night or even from my car to the front door because i usually end up having to park about a mile away because i have late classes. i've never had to look over my shoulder so much since i came here. <P>
none of this is worth over 1k/month. go elsewhere <P>
