Apartment Review for Auvers Village Apartments

I have lived at Auvers Village for over a year now. When I was looking at this place in the Winter of '04 they showed me the model. It was very nice. (obvioulsy it had never been lived in) They told me they had 24 hour security. That it was a great place to live. When I asked how safe my car would be here they said " Oh yeah, we have people here with everything from H2s to Jaguars. Sadly I belived him. Lets just put it this way. In this parking lot, my car was hit 3 times. Then someone backed into a light pole and knocked it over. Then one of my friends cars got hit. Its just rediculous. Simply for the love of your car...dont move here. <P>
As far as the apartment itself goes....it is disgusting. There were holes in the walls patched with plaster, and you could deffinetly tell it was like a 4 minute job. The carpet is all ratty, and dirty. We had the plumming break on us TWICE. It flooded our hallway, wich caused mold to grow, which caused it to smell horrible for over two weeks! OOOOH and the bugs here are horrible!!!!! You cant leave anything in your sink, or the ants will start a colony in it. If you happen to leave a can of soda out on the dinning room table or on the coffe table, you'll end up with all these little bugs that look like ants, but are white. The spiders here are huge!! Oh and I walked outside one day and there was a big Black Snake on my porch. <P>
You have to keep your blinds closed because everyone that lives here loves to look inside to see what you've got. If you move here, dont buy anything nice, or it will get ripped off. My best advice to anyone moving here for any reason is DONT. If you're planning on moving here for school, dont - move over by UCF. It will be worth the 10-15 minute drive. Trust me! If you're moving here with your family...unless you LIKE the fact that all the little mexican familys have fiestas at 1 am with the stupid reggeton, and there kids still awake playin tag in the streets then this is the place for you! But if you are not a big fan of all that then do yourself a favor...go somewhere else. Oh and I forgot to mention the fact that our rent went from $1024 to $1750 like somehow this place got more expensive. I'm done... <P>
