Apartment Reviews for Auvers Village Apartments
never again...

I lived at auvers for a little over a year, and If I would have had the money to break my lease, I would have left in 2 weeks. First off there are no parking spots anywhere close to your apartment after about 4:00 pm. If you arrive after dark, good luck seeing anything since only a select few street lamps work, and then you will constantly feel like there is someone coming after you because of the crime rate of Orlando and the crime I witnessed at auvers. Car Jacking, Tire slicing, Wheels missing, Gun fire at night... it was crazy.

The exterior of the apartments look nice, but depending on how the apratment was kept up on the inside by the previous renters, because maintenance will "cover up" the flaws, not fix them. Our refrigerator seal was broken in a few places constantly allowing cold air out, which ran up our power bill. We called maintenance quitea few times, and they said they would have to order the part. They also said they would call us when the part came in so they could set up a time to come replace it. Sounded really good, but they never called. We called them several times to try to set up a time. We soon realized they never ordered the seal, and they were never going too.

The pond's fountain's didn't work correctly, leaving all kinds of algae and muck to surface on top of the water, leaving a horrible smell and avery unattractive sight to look at.

That was all bad, but the worst part was the people in the office. They do not know what they are doing. I signed off the lease about 2 months before my roomate had planned on leaving (it was planned the whole time, I didn't just up and leave) and we filled out all the necessary papers for me to be released from the lease and to give his notice for when he would be breaking lease. About 2 months later I get a call asking about some appliance company that was coming to "my" apartment to pickup the washer and dryer that we were renting, I told her that she needed to contact the person on the lease, that I was no longer on the lease. They had never released me from the lease 2 moths afterwards. It was ridiculous. Then once my roomate broke his lease numerous things happened, after he filled out numerous forms of papers to break lease, he asked if that was all he had to sign, since he was moving back home, 9 hours away, the next day. 2 office people told him everything was finished and thank you for stay at auvers. Seemed nice, then about a week after he moved back home, he received a phone call telling him that there were 2 forms he needed to come and fill out. After an argument they finally agreed to mail him the forms that they told him he did not have to sign in the first place. Then about a month after moving out, they tried to charge him over $350 for not giving a 60 day notice for breaking the lease. We gave them way more than 60 days notice and it is proven by forms we filled out about me breaking lease a couple months before him. After and argument with him, and with his parents, the manager finally decided to "waive" the fee that should not have been there. It was just a waste of time. Those are just a couple of stories that porve that the office is full of idiots at auvers. I strongly urge you do not live there unless you absolutely have too. Too much money for crappy apartments and service. Sorry for the essay but I feel as if people should be warned.
