Review for Auvers Village Apartments

I've lived here for almost two years. In that time I have received notices on my door about one person being murdered in front of my apartment, 1 person mugged at gun point, 1 person mugged and pistol whipped, and an apartment being broken into and the tenants held at gun point while they were robbed. I also had to call the police out once because someone fired 6 shots off in front of my apartment. We heard the shots and found the casings, but there was never a letter sent out for that one. Oh, someone also tried to steal my motorcycle last month.

My air conditioner sucks. I used to call them every week to fix it, but have found that I can get it working if I turn off the breakers, let it sit for 5 minutes and then turn it on again. Otherwise it usually took 4 to 7 days for them to look at it.

Parking is terrible. Like someone else said, people park in the fire lanes all night and in the handicapped spaces and never get ticketed or towed. The parking lot lights are usually broken which can make it a little scary walking to your car between 8pm and 8am when all of the murders and muggings happen. I carry a gun and still don't like walking around at night.

The rents not that cheap either, you could find something comparable or cheaper pretty easily.
