When I first moved-in here, the staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Not anymore. There's a new manager, Queen B---- and the rest of the workers hide behind their computers and claim they can't do anything because the system is automated. Late fees. Big increases every year. It's like we are living with Big Brother watching. They threaten to charge for every little thing. G-d forbid you leave your shoes outside your door or your bicycle on the balcony. And, don't even think of leaving the recycling or moving boxes outside for even a few hours. The really annoying part is, there is garbage in all the bushes around the place, dog poo everywhere, broken pool furniture, parking is ridiculous. If you arrive home after 6pm you'll have to park and walk waaay too far to your apt. And, half the street lamps don't light up. If you are thinking of moving here....don't.

1. A friendly but not very useful staff
2. Sidewalks and stairwells moldy and stained with some broken cement
3. One compactor/dumpster, no concierge trash service
4. One laundry with six washers and dryers + usually at least one to three units not working = may as well go to an offsite laundry
5. You do not get to decide when they have solved your maintenance problem, they do, so expect to have maintenance up multiple times to not fix your problem before they finally get the job done
6. Close to two universities means listening to someone playing Call of Duty day and night
7. Inherently poor HVAC design, so don't complain to maintenance because the master bedroom and master bath vents barely wisp out any air, hot or cold, even when the unit is working well (see #5 above)
8. Pools regularly dirty, no spas
9. weight room tiny and mostly cardio machines, no free weights
Otherwise, Auvers Village is a great place to live.

Maintenece takes a LONG time to respond for your repairs and just last night my car, as well as someone else's, got it's window smashed and GPS stolen. There is no security at this complex. Other than that It is not a bad place to stay.

I have lived at Auvers Village since late 2007. I have never seen anything violent, there has only been a few notices about problems through out the complex, the staff has been nothing but helpful. In fact that tried to raise my rent after my first lease was up(never lived in a apartment that doesnt do this) and i went in and argued it was unreasonable because of the prices they charge for new tenants and rob, the apartment manager was more then courteous and got my rent actually lower then it was when i first signed my lease. As for people complaining about dog **** all over, that's not the apartment complex, that's its lazy tenants that refuse to pick up after there animals. While i dont like having to watch were i step i can guarantee this will happen EVERY residential setting you live in. Now i will say the only real complaint i have is the noise. But that is caused by full sails odd scheduling they run as well as your typical apartment style cheap windows that don't block much of any sound. But that's expected when living in a apartment that's within 7 miles of the countries 6th largest university as well as with in a mile of the countries craziest houred school.

I agree the staff is USELESS. If you need any type of assistance, don't count on them for help!

Sure our door was nearly kicked in a month after we moved there, but no one got in, and it was fine after the cops grilled my roommate and I about drugs, which we didn't have.
Honestly, it's not that bad of a place. It's not the Hilton, but the prices are reasonable. If you pay your bills on time, there is no reason to be complaining about fees or the staff, as we've never had a problem.
Anytime something was broken or there was a problem, they came out and fixed it immediately. The only major complaint I have is the noise, but that's just because a TON of students live there. Most of them are disrespectful of those who aren't students and need to sleep.
I don't recall any issues with dog droppings either.
Overall, it's been fine to live there. Just realize that you are near a number of schools, and students there generally don't care about what time it is.

I've lived at Auvers for six months now. My air conditioner has broken twice and both times they replaced/fixed it within two days. Even came out on a sunday and worked for six hours replacing the air conditioning unit. That was really awesome because it was literally one hundred degrees outside.
Recently someone was stabbed in the building next to mine. Police said it was his own fault and it was premeditated. Involving drugs. So other than that I've felt pretty safe.
There were no overhead lights in my apartment when I moved in. There were, what looked like spots for them all in the apartment, but no they had been covered up. Don't understand that. No light in the living room or bedrooms other than lamps I had to purchase.
They're remodeling the outside of the units right now. This has been **** and they're taking way too long. But that's not Auvers fault, I guess.
Most of the office staff are freindly and helpful, but a few of them are total ********. Just wait to talk to one of the nice ones. It won't take too long.
Parking is decent. I've never had to park too far away. Stop being lazy and learn to walk, America.
Really not much to say

Many people who reside in the area of this complex are students. That being the case there is always a fair bit of complaining based on bias alone. From my experiences with Auvers the staff is courteous and any issues are resolved within a business day. Compared to other apartments in the area this complex is probably in the top 10 for both price and security.

I've been here just over a year and have signed a lease for a second year with no reservations.

We recently renewed our lease through the end of 2005. I'm satisfied with Auvers...there have been very few noise disturbances, and when there has been, I've called the office or courtesy officer and they've stopped the noises pretty quickly. This isn't a very big party place, or at least if people do party, the're far more quiet about it then other apartments around here. Maintenance was slow on one occasion, but other times that we've called they've come promptly. I feel safe walking in the evening and very early morning, and never had any break ins, damage to our vehicle, etc. No apartment complex will be perfect, but this is definitely one of the best in this area. The staff in the office have been very friendly and helpful. I've had many friends move in here after they saw my positive experience living here, and they've been satisfied with Auvers, as well.

I have lived at Auver's Village for 10 months and have had very few problems. My neighbors are all friendly and my building is pretty quiet. All service calls have been answered promptly and the issues resolved within 24 hrs. Everyone in the office has been friendly and helpful. The only things that I have not been completely satisfied with is the parking and the noise that people make going up and down the stairs. Parking is sometimes hard to find close to the apartment, depending on the time of day. All in all though, I will be renewing for another year.
