Apartment Reviews for Boardwalk Apartments
I give this place a negative 10

I got my own apartment instead of a dorm, thinking I could avoid loud parties and actually get some sleep. Ha.
This is by far the most horrible and grotesque place I have lived. The walls are thin as tissue paper- I can hear it when my next door neighbor watches tv, talks on the phone, or has gas. There are always parties going on, and I'm frequently awakened by this drunk girl upstairs who likes to scream for no apparent reason. If you sign a lease here, you are signing away sleep for the next year.
Also, the place is filthy. When I arrived, the door was broken, the dining set was broken, and there was a thick coat of dust on everything. I found the last tenants used tissues, deodorant, and a petrified cookie in my dresser drawers when I was trying to unpack. I had to spend three hours cleaning before I could unpack my things.
The staff is duplicitous and rude. I directly asked about the noise before I signed the lease, and the staff member outright said that the place was very quiet. LIES.
The model apartment I toured was clean, and she gave me the impression that mine would be the same. Once again, lies. There is also a terrible roach/centipede/weevil problem in our apartment, so make sure you and your roommates clean frequently.
Also, you don't have to bother with filling out that roommate matching survey. They won't even look at it. If you request a roommate with good cleaning habits, or someone who is quiet, you'll get placed with loud dirty slobs.
Also, CRIME is a big problem here. Right outside my door, a guy was held at gunpoint and his car was stolen (and of course they didn't catch the thief). The funny thing? This is a gated community, which is supposed to keep us safe, but they don't close the gate. Even if they did, your neighbors will enjoy committing destruction, harassment, and vandalism, so put those deadbolts that are on every door to use.
I could go on forever about how much I hate this place, and I haven't even lived here for 2 months. It is NOT worth what you'll be paying for it. Pay an extra hundred or so a month, and get a nicer apartment! Avoid this place at all cost.
