Review for Park Baldwin Palms Apartments

1st- the dishwasher was broken, the kitchen flooded once. We called maintance and he fixed it, so we used it again. It flooded again. Then they replaced a new washer finally, and the chipped the counter putting it in.

2nd- the thermostat was broken, called someone. all he did was adjust it and told us we didn't know how to use it, and he left. The bill came home and it was 185. Hello that's wrong, b/c we left the ac on 84 bc we were never home during the day and only used it at night. Then we called someone again, he said the coils were dirty, cleaned that and he left. the bill kept getting higher. we talked to a neighbor who has the same model and he says he pays around 100. there's no way i'm paying for a ac bill that's 275. that's outragous. so we complain and Park Baldwin Palms accepts the charges. Then Park Baldwin Palms hires an actually technician to look at it, and he says replace it, this unit is old. Finally! So then we get a new one replaced it now the bill is around 75 dollars. that took around 5-6 months to get that fixed

3rd- the bill you get from the apt tells you how the fees are broken down. well i saw that i was charged for rubbish removal. i was like what is that' the ladies in the office says that, covers the garbage being removed. I was like you charge 6.99 every month to every resident to have the garbage man take our trash away. That's a rip off. I know that doesn't seem much, but we only take trash out like once a week, and i'm pretty sure they are pocketing the rest of that fee, bc we all have to share a trash compactor. they are making a killing off of us.

4th- we use bill pay to make rent payments. It has never failed us. But apparently they sent us a 3 day notice that we haved paid rent. Um okay so our bank pocketed the money' So i go into the office and they are like, oh you have until the 23 to pay or we will charge you another 100 late fee. Wow again, that's not our fault that the mail carrier sent the rent check later. The dated check was posted correctly and we should not be charged. Oh and if you are to pay rent at this place. make sure you pay in money order now!!! it takes them about avg of 10 days to deposit your money. Definatly use money order and make then make a copy of it and sign the paper. Don't let them screw you over.

5th- The laundry room that they allow us to use is always broken. The machine where you get money out of is always getting broken into, so you can't get put money on your card or get a new card. The machines have detergent in them because people start putting their clothes in the washers and finds out that the machine is broken, the soda machine even got broken into. The dryers dont' really dry your clothes either. so don't think about overloading the washers/ dryers.

6th- You will probably feel unsafe at night. seriously the very first day i moved in, this guy runs into the office, apparently the guy had been robed during daylight. and then the next few nights a cop was sitting in the middle of the road. that's scary!

7th- office ladies. they are idiots, well some are. when you have a problem, some feel for you, and the others are like okay there the conformation number. bye. They don't like dealing with problems because they know they want to screw you over.

8th- the apt itself. you can tell they didn't put much effort in your home. when you first move in, the office will tell you oh, we put in new capet for you, everything is in working order. okay can you explain to me why the ceiling shows the outline of the entire bathroom and the toilet and sink. seriously you look up and you can see the outline of the bathtub. i'm waiting for the day when it falls through the ceiling. the painting here was done by a blind man, he missed several spots and also the sealing in the shower/bathtub is all wrong, i can see the wall behind the shower. that doesn't seem safe
