Apartment Reviews for Pegasus Landing
The Real Pegasus Landing

When someone first shows you the model apartment at Pegasus landing and you see the upbeat attitude of the staff, you think that you have chosen the perfect place to live. However, THIS IS ALL A LIE.
Firstly, the model apartment looks NOTHING like the real apartments. The real apartments have ancient carpet that is not vacuum-able or cleanable by any means. The staff or maintenance people refuse to acknowledge this problem or do anything about it (like everything else). The quality of everything in the apartment is absolutely atrocious. The microwave is rusting and dirty. The stove is disgusting. The washer makes your clothes smell like ****. The dryer takes more than 8 hours to fully dry your clothes. The furniture smells like ****. Moving onto the actually bedroom: The blinds are paper-thin and dirty and are unable to keep out any light whatsoever. The beds are so uncomfortable that you would be better off sleeping on the floors, except that there are so many bugs in the apartment that it would be disgusting. I have never used the ceiling fan because it shakes wildly and makes loud noises. The wood from the desk is peeling. The bottom two drawers of the dresser are unusable because they have been broken since the day I moved in. However, all of these miserable living qualities are trumped by a single thing : MOLD. Pegasus Landing's UCF affiliation was terminated because they would not take care of the mold problem, which is at very dangerous levels. They rarely clean anything, if at all, and the mold gives many students, such as myself symptoms of nausea, drowsiness, or even migraines. Because of this, they have had to move students without notice into other apartments which STILL HAVE MOLD, albeit less.
If that is not enough to convince you to NOT RENT AT PEGASUS LANDING, I suppose I should then talk about the safety. Firstly, the alarm system that is installed in the apartments is a complete sham. It does not work and the management never even gives you a code to activate it. Over the course of living here, my roommate living in bedspace B has had his door busted in TWICE and my roommate in bedspace C has had his room broken into as well, both having random thing stolen. The worst part about it is that you are never actually safe here. The apartment gate guards, if you can even really call them that, let in anybody without barely even looking at them sometimes. Girls have been attacked here by hooded people, fortunately not badly hurt, but you should research some of that if the rest of this review doesn't convince you.
All of these problems would be fixable if Pegasus Landing had a COMPETENT STAFF. The people behind the desks at Pegasus Landing have absolutely no authority to do anything whatsoever and their responses are never helpful. In fact, they respond in such a demeaning manner to any questions at all that I'm surprised they still are permitted to work there. For example, when you tell them any incident that happened in your apt, such as mold, furniture left by previous roommates, or even holes in your shower or walls(due to poor construction), they will first give you the run-around through the different offices. If you continue to question them, they will tell you that they can't do anything and give you a phone number that no one ever answers. To get service for anything such as maintenance requests, you have to put in at least 3-4 maintenance requests and wait over a week, sometimes over two. Try doing this for things like broken appliances, and mold seeping through the showers. For the smaller problems such as disgusting carpet or rusty appliances, they will do nothing.
The noise is constantly a problem here as well. There is a fraternity basically right in the center of the apartment complex where the students scream and make loud noises even on Wednesday or Thursday, well into the night. If you are not close to them, you will be right next to construction TAKING PLACE right next to paying leaseholders. Good luck sleeping to that.
The only really good thing I can say about Pegasus landing is that they have adequate parking, probably because of the amount of residents leaving this shithole. I would not wish living here in this piece of garbage apartment complex to my worst enemies and I certainly don't recommend it to you. Living on the streets would be healthier. Please look elsewhere. Thank you.
