Apartment Reviews for The Broadwater Apartments - Orlando

I moved in October 1st and have no complaints about the apartment itself however the office staff and the maintenance are doing a very poor job in my opinion.

Two days after I moved in I was told maintenance would be painting my front door and the railings to the stairwell.
The painters used no drop cloths while painting the railings and got black paint all over the sidewalk. I had to take my shoes off at the front door so I would not get paint on the rug. When I arrived home the next day I saw they had been in my apartment and painted my front door , I noticed there was a drop of black paint on my white rug. I went right away and told the office of this and they said it would be taken care of. The next day I came home from work and the paint was still there but I had a flyer for a rug cleaning service attached to my door. What a joke.

The Second thing the office staff has done to upset me was , I asked if I could pay my rent monthly with a credit card. I was told as long as i set it up to be a recurring payment I would not be charged any additional fees. So I double checked again with another office worker before I paid to have all my money transferred into a new bank account and set up a new credit card with an annual fee that would reward me with cash at the end of the year. I then went back to the office to set up my recurring rent payment with my new credit card. I was given instructions on how to do this on the internet. I followed the instructions and noticed I could not set up rent payments on a credit card without being charged a $20.00 fee per month. So I went back to the office and asked why. I was told that I must be doing something wrong and that I should call the number on the website and they would help me. Needless to say I was told that I was doing nothing wrong but instead Broadwater apartments are not set up to offer recurring rent payments by credit card. So now because of an incompetent office staff I have lost $126.00 in fees that I was charged for wire transfers and annual fees.

When I went to explain to them how they gave me the wrong information I did not even receive an apology, instead I got a smile and was told to have a nice day.

The office staff at Broadwater is just another example of how incompetence can run businesses into the ground.

As long as you can deal with the office staff not knowing how to do their job Broadwater is a great place to live.
