I rented a one bedroom apartment there and I could not have lived in better place. I lived by myself and never felt concern for my safety. It is a gated community and there is always security around. My apartment itself couldn't have been nicer. It had granite countertops, vaulted ceilings, and a garden bathtub. It was clean and maintenance took care of any problems I had instantly. I am unsure of the noise problem that the previous reviewer wrote about. I never experienced a noise a problem and felt that the apartment had a calm family atmosphere. In addtition, the office staff was always friendly. They took care of all of my needs. Overall, I think the Village at Southern Oaks is a great place to live. There is not a better deal in Pensacola!
