Apartment Review for Stonebrook Apartments

It is a below average apartment, the staff could be more proffessional. The maitenance crew is extremely overworked, with too few people. For a complex of this size. Oddly there are a great number of people working in the office. The people living in the older section of the complex are shady, and I still do not understand the purpose of the gates. The People they are designed to keep out seem to live here. We recently had someone run into our car drunk then to drive off. The electric bills for the first floor apartments also seem to be extremely high. We just had a $210 bill for a first floor one bedroom apartment. My advice is to stay clear of these apartments. There are much better deals in the area... They do allow large dogs, but for the money you could find a better apartment. The most upsetting problem we have run into other then the slow maitnance is the mail. When a package is delivered that is too large for your mailbox the office staff has it stacked in the office. They send you a notice that your mail has arrived and when you go to pick it up they point to the pile and tell you to search for it. To make a long story short anyone can grab your package before you get there. The pools are constantly out of service, an apartment in the next building was just raided by police for growing drugs, and trafficing, and the lighting is extremely poor at night. The office staff is extremely eager to get you in but, could care less if their is a problem. They are quick to argue with you, and sometimes seem clueless. We put in request to have something fixed and two months have gone by and we still have heard nothing. We have lived here for 6 months and will not renew our lease.
