I was impressed with the display apartment. Though the buildings looked a little old, the inside seemed updated. My first clue should have been that I was not allowed to see my apartment until I signed the lease. When I moved in, the carpets were cleaned just using water and the apartment was shut up, so it had a musty smell. The carpets were so bad that I could not stop sneezing the first month we lived there. I vacuumed just the living room and my vacuum was already full of dust and pet hair. We complained about a large hole on the outside wall under our bedroom window. They came "into" our apartment with out asking to fix the "outside" hole? They ended up putting a large hole on the inside of our bedroom wall and it took them a few months to fix that. It's still not fixed all the way. I can always hear the people above us walking around and shutting doors. The hot water was fine when we moved in, now there isn't enough for me to finish my morning shower. My husband and I have lived in many different places, and I have to say, this it the worst. I wouldn't move in unless you demand to see the actual apartment you will be moving into. Also, try to get one of the phase two; I would like to hope they're a little better than ours. For the price, you can do way better in Tallahassee.
