THE VILLAGE ON THARPE, formerly known as Jefferson Pointe, offers horrible service and is a total scam. Basically it is for a bunch of scum bums with kids, drug dealers, and wanna be thugs. The ad-poster has about 6 white people and 1 black person on it. Talk about false advertising. THe population is probably only about 10 percent white. Not that it is an issue, but that black population that IS there is the lowest of the low. Police are constantly in the neighborhood patrolling the area for gun shooters and drug dealers, robbers and rapists. The security is worthless, and from the day you sign the lease the incompetent staff/faculty will try to get as much money from you as they can by imposing outrageous fines for late fees & clauses of the lease that they so sneakily think they can change. if you sign up DO NOT LOSE YOUR LEASE, and HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR PART OF IT THEY DO NOT UPHOLD. You are required to pay a $200 move out fee, and so was the person before you, but when you move in, you see it is just another scam, becuase the 200 dollars goes into someone's pocket, and no clean up or move out or refurnishing or carpet cleaning is taken care of. I moved into an apartment with a broken window, and it took over two months to get fixed. My friend who also resided in the complex was put in with a guy who was arrested for constantly violating his parole. And then a female I know who resided with two other females was subjected to the boyfriend of one of her roomies who decided to move in and not pay for anything. It is like this everywhere in THE VILLAGE ON THARPE. They changed their name because of all the negativity associated with the name Jefferson Pointe. Do not let "The Village on Tharpe" scam you. It is nothing but "The Ghetto on Tharpe". They hide all of the criminal activity that goes on in the neighborhood so they do not lose clients and so they do not deter future residents, but do yourself and anyone you know a favor. Don't ever move here, because you will be miserable. And if you like to sleep. Every thug in the complex feels the need to prove that he/she has the loudest system in the car possible, and will feel the need to demonstrate it at 3 and 4 in the morning right outside of your windows. It is an attempt to makeup for the lack of libito, and we have to suffer for it. If you are lookin to live around educated beings. The Ghetto on Tharpe is not for you.
