I lived in Londontown for a little over two years and I loved every second of it. At the time I was looking for a place to live, I was making the huge decision to live alone. Now, for people this is no big deal, but for a 20 year old single female, its a scary step into the real world. But Londontown was probably one of the best decisions I ever made.
In the two years that I lived there, the management and mainteience bent over backwards to help me out. From little things like providing me a battery for my smoke detector, to the big things like helping me install my washing machine. The management was always friendly and very patient. When I was job hunting, and I didn't really know when I would be moving out, they let me rent month-month so I did not have to sign a new lease.
Londontown is also one of the few complexes in the area that will let you out of your lease ( I think its like 1 months rent and your security deposit, but that's WAY better than having to finish a 12 month lease when you only lived there for 4 months.).
The maintenance staff are really friendly as well. It was a really great feeling for me to know that they were looking out for me. If they saw me around the property, they always asked if my apartment was in good shape and if there was anything I needed.
The property is rather large, but you would never know it by the atmosphere. The manager knew my name and apartment number. And its also a great atmosphere for families. There are 2 pools, and 2 tennis courts. There are washer/dryer hook-ups in all the apts, and if you don't have a W/D, there are 2 laundry facilities on site. Oh, and they are by far the cleanest/most well kept laundry facilities I have ever used.
The rates are very reasonable, and the complex is located directly on the city bus route and right next to the mall.
Oh, I suppose I could tell you about the inside of the apartments. Ladies...there is more closest space then you could ever use!!! And the kitchens are fairly large as well. Most of the apartments are renovated now also. But even the one's that aren't renovated are still really nice ( mine wasn't renovated and I loved it). There are cieling fans in at least the living room area, and some of the units have them in the bed rooms as well. But you can always buy a fan, and the complex is happy to install it for you.
Basically, I can't say enough about Londontown. I love it. I have even made recommendations to people who have gone ahead and rented there. Move in, I promise you will love it.
