This complex in itself is bad enough due to old age, no upkeep, terrible plumbing and corroded wiring but to have Sheryl White (a true SLUMLORD) as the lanlord makes Windrush Village unbearable. Memorial Day weekend I went out of town only to return home to serious water damage in my closet/vanity area. The light fixure is hanging by wires from the ceiling, the ceiling plaster is tearing down from the water that is continuing to leak into my apartment from the above apartment, my carpet is dry now but was completely soaked; so soaked the carpet cleaners had to leave an industrial fan in my apartment for three days;. There is much more but the point is when I discovered this DISASTER, I attempted to call the complex front office only to find the phone disconnected and then to walk to the leasing office and find no emergency number posted anywhere on the office doors or windows was the last straw. UNACCEPTABLE! But wait, the next morning I go over to the office to inquire about the disconnected phone and to let them know of the damage and SHERYL WHITE immediately turned into a witch. She was sarcastic and refused to give me a bucket, she offered no apology or assistance in the matter. In fact she wanted to wash her hands of it as"Oh well, Shit happens". But I should not have been suprised, I have been at Windrush for 5months and Sheryl is still yet to fix my dishwasher that was never working due to no plumbing. Unbelievable!!!!
