For A Student On A Budget, Who Still Wants A Nice

Rented: From 2006 To 2006

PROS: 1. Walking distance to campus 2. Friendly neighbors--by the end of my first week here, half the complex knew me by name. 3. Noise level--It gets pretty rowdy and noisy, but it always seems to clear out by like 10pm. I have been here a month, and have slept like a baby every night. 4. DEAL--for a 2/1 it's about $400 a person, and that includes rent, water, sewer, pest control, lawn maint., and any house calls to maintenance workers. 5. POOL--everyone gets a view of it, too. 6. MANAGEMENT--very good at answering individual requests in a timely manner. However, she only works weekdays, so if there is an evening or weekend problem...you're screwed.

CONS: 1. Parking--all parking is right outside bedroom windows, so you hear just about every car pulling up or driving away if you're in the bedroom. Plus, theres a subway and a coffee shop in the same complex, so spaces can be scarce near your apt. I hear in the fall, game days make it impossible to park. 2. Renovations--my apartment is gorgeous, but I hear that I was lucky. Not all apartments are re-done, so be sure to mention that before you sign to a specific number. VIEW IT FIRST.

I love this place, and I think that for the money and the location, it's one of the best deals in Tallahassee. I couldn't be happier!
