Review for Villa Reanna Apartments

I moved into Villa Reanna in August 08. Everyone was super nice in the office, expect when it came to moving in. They gave me the wrong room and my key didn't work (electronic keys, not real ones). A week after moving in my roommate and I got locked out of our apartment because the key reader died and there was no way to get in. The manager and maintenance staffs’ solution was a crowbar, 4 screwdrivers, and 3 guys running at the door. As a result it damaged our door and the weather stripping (took them over a month to fix) and it never shut letting the AC leak out the door causing our bill to go up. Sparks came out of our breaker box, almost catching our apartment on fire. After living there for 2 months my roommate and I both got really sick (going to the doctor at least every 2-3 weeks). Mold started growing in our bathrooms so we reported it to the office. They never recorded the request and never gave a sheet saying they fixed it. All they did was over it with Clorox (which doesn't kill mold spores). We raised the issue with management and they basically said it was Tallahassee weather and allergies and we would get over it. I’m from Tallahassee and never in my life have I gone to the doctor 5 times in one month. We had our apartment tested for mold by an environmental specialist as a result, they found over 300 species of mold (including black mold.. the toxic kind). Management knew something was there because they replaced the carpet in the hallway and one bedroom. Long story short.. it looks like a place nice to live, it’s close to FSU and FAMU but the condition of the apartment is horrible and management doesn't really care just as long as you pay rent.
