The apartment is located in a fairly decent area. It's within walking distance of USF if you don't want to wait for the bus during traffic.

However, the walls are VERY thin and although it's too late to do anything about that you can call and send Signal 88 to the noisy apartment units. If the noise continues you can complain to the front office and they may fine the noisy people in the unit who aren't getting the message that they are too loud. Moreover, do not get a poolside unit because the pool is in the center of the building so you can easily hear people talking due to the echo.

Yes someone was shot in one of the buildings, but you shouldn't worry about anything like that as long as you are observant and make wise, cautious decisions about who you let into the apartment.

Make sure you understand what you can and cannot do as outlined by your lease and resident handbook they give you during move-in. Doing so will protect you from avoidable fines and other punishments.
