Review for Gables West Park Village Apartments

I lived here when the development was brand new. I must say that the sales staff was off-the-richtor chart hospitable and bend-over-backward helpful and friendly. RIGHT AFTER I moved in - you'd swear you'd never met these people before in your life. it was like I moved into the Twilight Zone?!! The development went downhill progressively as I lived there...i lived in the above store (front of the village)apartments which were supposed to have a security gate...you could reach your handle in through the gate - no one ever needed a code - my boyfriend and i never understood why they even had a gate.

Christmas Eve I went to my inlaws...we had front communal patio space and I had an orchid out there all decorated for Christmas...I had the plant out there for about 6 months prior to this...we were gone 5 hours...came back, my plant was gone...someone took it and left a trail of its decor down the path. What a nauseating feeling. Luckily, despite the COMPLETE lack of security, our apt. was never broken into. The parking situation is horrific b/c of the stores/restaurants. Funny, it was all so appealing at first and then you only have to live there for a few days to realize the whole place is a sham.

They charged us, basically, for breathing. I truly believe they made things up and made rules up as they went along. I transferred my lease to a different apt. and one woman told me what to do and what it would cost then 3 days later when we went in to switch she and her mgr. both said she never said that and doubled the fees! WHAT A RACKET!! Beyond disappointing. Then they added on more apt. buildings and luckily I got out before they were finished. i can't even imagine what the noise situation is like now!
