It saddens me to hear the sad stories of Georgetown as I was there when it was brand new... I remember the dregging on the canals, the new building. We had great neighbors except for one in our building that was a bit strong on his base on his sterro. We all felt the vibrations as it traveled the beams. There was no carpet on the floors, just hardwood. We had to provide our own rugs, the apartments were unfurnished but for the money and the amount of space, it was a great place to rent in the area. We had made great friends there, enjoyed our time at Georgetown.
