College station just opened and we are the first residence. Everything is new, all are friends live here and the amenities are fantastic. Little far away though, we are the only ones living on Riverbend Parkway, there are new apartments being built though. Apartment living in Athens has never been better. Moved here from Rivermill (2 years) and that place is really getting old. I would recomend this apartment complex to everyone. The rent is kind of high, $300 each per month and we pay for our own utilities, but Dad's got that kind of cash. They were also really smart to have nothing but good looking girls work the front office, not always that helpful but nice to look at. Everyone should consider living here, if only it were still 1989.

I moved in this year and things have been good so far. I chose this place because the rents were very reasonable and it's very easy to get to and from class with the bus stopping right at the front door.

I had friends who lived here last year and they said it was pretty good, and I was actually surprised because they have been doing a bunch of upgrades to the property (I think there is a new owner). They have upgraded the pool and the new grilling area is pretty cool, and they have a nice cabana as a hang out spot. I haven't used it all yet, but it should be a fun spot for the summer. They also upgraded the tennis courts and gym which both needed it, so are pretty nice now. I guess there is also a new dog park going in, which is good for me...kind of a cool idea. They also painted the buildings, not sure what else they're doing.

My one complaint is that I can't always get a parking space next to my unit and the parking lot can get dark at night. Plus if you live in one of the lower buildings you have to hike uphill to get to the bus stop. Lastly, my furniture is a bit old, but I guess they have new furniture in some of the units that looks really nice, but I think it's a bit more expensive.

Also, I had one issue with my shower, but it got fixed pretty quickly and the staff is pretty nice and always has food and coffee out. So far, so good. It actually could turn out be a great deal for the money once they're all done with their improvements.

University Apartments on Riverbend has been pretty good so far. It's only my first semester living here, but haven't had any major problems. Super fast about maintenance requests...they usually get to you within the same day and definitely within 2. Sometimes the groundskeeper lets the dog waste trashcan sit for like a week or so without emptying it or refilling the bags, but if you put in a request, they correct the problem pretty quickly.

The apartment itself is disappointing compared to the model that they show you on your tour. They're a lot older, with stoves that look like they're from the 1970s.

Haven't had a problem with going over the $160 (40 each roommate) utility cap. 4 people showering, washing clothes, and using the dish washer regularly seems to work out fine.

The parking lot is a little bit dark...they have lights but it's still kind of creepy at night.

The gym is really disappointing, but they recently changed management and just added TVs in there, so it's hopeful that they'll put some more money into it.

Overall, I'm happy at University Apts.
