I moved in early in the summer (2007) and if I had been aware of these issues, it would have influenced my decision to live here.
Things to note: -Despite what the leasing agent told me when I toured the complex, there is no cement or anything substantial between floors which means that noise is very easily and loudly transmitted through the building both between floors and through the walls. (i.e. I can clearly hear the dog upstairs whine and bark while its owner is gone) -The pool does not seem to be well maintained and is usually dirty. Residents use it at all hours of the night creating a major noise issue. -The controlled access into the parking garage and the building is completely ineffective. Most of the doors are not locked and the gate into the deck opens wide and long enough so when you leave, anyone waiting to get in can easily do so. -The building is literally crawling with ants that enter your apartment through any crack or opening and requires constant maintenance to control the infestation. -There is no green space, so lots of the residents with dogs have to take them out on the sidewalk, and many do not clean up after their pet. -The leasing staff is pleasant, but when you call with a complaint they are indifferent and defensive. I got the impression that they tell you what you want to hear (regardless if it is true or not) to get you to sign the lease. Then after moving in you quickly realize all the untruths you were told. -There are lots and lots of families and children here. Not that that is a bad thing, but something to be aware of.
