First things first: Look at ANY apartment building in ANY state on this site and notice that most of the reviews are negative. Why? Because people only feel motivated to write reviews on movies, restaurants, etc. when they have something jacked up to say. I'm writing to counter that - my experience at 626 has been fine. Hope I don't jinx myself.
I live on the 4th floor. My unit is clean and quiet; the only people I occasionally hear are upstairs neighbors. Those on this site who complain they occasionally hear someone having sex need to move out to the country or into Norad or the Greenbriar hotel. It's called "you live in an apartment building." Have toured all halls at nigiht. So quiet it's eerie. It's like The Shining. See maybe 3 or 4 people a day tops, and that's usually in the garage. Gate works and they even rejiggered it so only one side opens at a time.
Management is always professional and timely. No other way to describe them. Once someone tried to have a loud party in the public room. Letter went out and from then on, Saturday nights up there are reaaaaal quiet lol.
I've lived in Baltimore, Richmond and now Atlanta. I've always seen at least one roach - luckily, that was it. Never seen one in 626, not even outside. Had an ant issue (they took care of quickly); worth noting I work in Centennial Tower, a jazzy high rise downtown; it has ants. This is a Georgia issue. In Richmond, they have a citywide spider issue. Shrug.

Rent's a little high but view is gorgeous. Surrounding neighborhood can be dicey - but they never come to the building. One tried to panhandle in front of garage once. That lasted one day lmao.
I encourage anyone thinking about living here to check it out. If it gives you a vibe, if ANY building gives you a vibe, then don't go with it. But ignore these nasty reviews. I notice a lot of these folks have issues with "the management"; something tells me these are the same people who are always sending things back in restaurants. Get a life!
I was deceived upon moving into 626 DeKalb Apts. I should have visited at night when the residents awere awake and lively. The women out here look like prostitutes and the guys are straight up thugged out drug dealers. This complex is full of people that don't work and they fill their unit with friends and live in a one bedroom. There is no quality of life out here. The walls are paper thin and the residents blast their music. They also don't care and let their animals use the bathroom in the parking deck. Another issue is the residents failing to dump their trash in the trash chute. Instead, they litter the parking deck or leave it by the trash chute. If you like the thug life and want to live ghetto fabulous, then this is the place for you. I can't wait for my lease to be up and I can get out of here. I work for a living and care about my quality of life.
Thin walls, some vandalism, noisy around the pool. maintenance always around but have yet to fix my broken sink. very nice appearance inside and out. neighbors are polite.
626 Dekalb has a superb staff in an excellent location (Inman Park, Freedom Pkwy.). The Director and her staff are always involved with monthly activities for the residents as well as keeping us informed of what's going on in the community as well as in our area. The amenities are superb: outdoor pool with water fall, resident lounge for entertaining guest, weight room, movie lounge and recreation room. I'd strongly recommend anyone take a look at this community, they'd truly love it.
I have no clue where the person who wrote the previous review live. There ar eno children in this building that I've seen. Its not as noisy as he/she makes it... I mean Its an apartment community... I love my paartment and the staff... Despite the area (its not as as bad as it looks) I find it to be one of the best places I
