This is an apartment community built in 1947, hence it has great character without looking old and ugly. The grounds are well kept and it's right off of Peachtree (near Micks, Houston's and Justin's restaurants) so it's easy to get to and centrally located.
Pluses include a FREE laundry service that will wash one load of laundry per weekday (holidays excluded), the fact that the property is right next to a golf course that you can literally walk right onto, and the unique townhome and tri-level apartments that all have lawns in front of them. The place really feels more like a community than apartments. Neighbors are generally friendly and there are usually two social events that take place per year. One in the summer (usually a pool party or picnic) and one in the winter (for X-mas).
The down sides are few in comparison. The walls could honestly be a little thicker, though if your neighbor isn't yelling or playing the tv/radio too loud you generally won't hear them. The windows aren't insulated and since the construction of the property is older, drafts are a common occurrence. Lastly, maintenance isn't as prompt about service as they could be many times (unless it's urgent).
All units are 2 bedrooms. The price range is as follows: garden, tri-level, townhome, from least to greatest respectively. After the discount for the running specials you will find that the units range from approx. $815 (for a garden) to $900 (for a townhome), per month, during off-peak season.
I've been living here for over 2 years and plan on staying here until I leave Atlanta. I'd recommend it. The benefits outweigh he cons by far. It's pleasant Buckhead living at a significantly reduced cost versus what other comparable apartments go for. It's also a unique variation from the stereotypical newly constructed apartments Atlanta offers.
