This is my third and LAST year here. When I moved in a few years ago, management was good, the staff competent, and maintenance was relatively quick. Now, The Empirian is going to *7$$ in a handbasket. My tub (plastic) had a tiny crack in it when I moved in, but of course over time it grew, and grew, and grew until last Thanksgiving it caused a flood in my neighbors closet underneath me. It just got fixed a week ago. The trash bins are always overflowing, and they are inconveniently placed. (Especially if you don't have a car) I don't know what the situation is with the "fitness center," but it started out all in one room, and the treadmill was broken for TWO years. Each time I'd ask about it, it was being fixed... soon. Now half of it is by the leasing office, and the rest is in the second club house. Before handing over your $35 for a key, ask to see and then try out the equipment. Don't even think those gates mean anything because they haven't worked since I moved in. In fact, it would be better if they just took them down instead of pretending this is a gated community. My lease will be ending in a few months, and I've already started looking for another place to live. The best thing about living out here is the price which I can't beat for the location, however; I'd rather pay a little more to live somewhere that management actually cared about and took pride in, as opposed to the sadness that this place has become.
