Many times these reviews are kind of biased for one reason or the other. But mine are not, and can be substantiated through a real trail of incidents. I moved in 5/2004 into a basement studio apartment. This apartment had plumbing problems that caused my apartment to flood twice in 2 months. Dirty drain water would back up into my place. Maintenance had to cut a hole in the wall to repair the back up the 2nd time, but they took their time coming to seal it up. So, on Thanksgiving morning 2004, there was a big, brown hairy rat in my floor. Management did react professionally and quickly by giving me a new, upgraded apartment within a few days. But this apartment had a roach problem to start. Meanwhile, my original unit was robbed of a stereo, vaccuum cleaner and other valuables. I will not point fingers, but when the police came there were no signs of forced entry. And, the culprit would be someone with a key to my apartment. Get my drift? I hoped that maybe someone on the staff made a mistake and thought thosed items were abandoned. I asked management to inquire the staff,and simply ask that they be returned. They were of course defensive and apathetic to my suggestion. I really held the staff and management to a higher standard than this even through the 2 floods, but with the theft (reported to area police on 12/26/04)of my things and their response to it (or lack thereof) makes this one of the worst experiences ever. Just today I went to a local apartment finder, and the agent told me that she was very familiar with these sorts of accounts from residents of Stoneridge at Vinings. Just know that every place in Vinings isn't all that great.
