The management here is terrible. They've screwed me twice. When I moved into the place there was a great manager named Colin, I don't know what happened to him but he's gone. There are 4 other apartment complexes within walking distance of The Standard, The Reserve, Post Lenox Park, another Post Property and one other. Don't wast your money on the Standard. Pay a little more for professionals.
Also the parking is a mess. There aren't enough spots to park and they charge you for secured parking. There are break ins (this happens everywhere but the community is not gated). One time I stood outside and watched a resident get cuffed and stuffed by the cops for selling drugs.
The elevators break constantly - sometimes they are down for weeks. There is broken glass constantly in the parking garages from garbage.
They've recently done some renovations that look like a flash back to 1970. The office is nice, but don't be fooled by the looks. The management is clueless. Don't ever expect to get any repairs done either. I requested repairs and have waited months.
The only good thing this place has going for it is its location. They also are very welcoming of pets.
