Apartment Reviews for Alta West - Atlanta

As a NYC native, I recently moved into 1016 Lofts and I love it. Management has been extremely accomodating to me and has made my move effortless. I am often approached in the courtyard by residents who obviously have an "ax to grind". Please, you are talking to someone who lived in the meat packing district in NYC. This is the real world! Move to suburbs for GOD'S sakes if you don't like it.

I mean lets be real here. We have lived in 1016 lofts (Alta West) for almost 2 years and we love it! We enjoy the pool, the amazing club room, the dog park and our beautiful loft. We have truly enjoyed living here. Yes, I have heard of break ins, but this place is in West Mid-town, give me a break. The area is up and coming.

Instead of reading all these terrible comments, come and check the place out for yourself and see the coolest of the lofts!!!

I'm a new resident and moved in during the change in management [it's now run by Archstone Properties]. Generally, this place gets a thumb's up in my book. It is fantastic if you work anywhere in Midtown; I do, and it only takes me 5 or 10 minutes -- sometimes less -- to get to work or get home at night. There are awesome restaurants down the street, and Compound is fun. The management team greets me by name every time they see me, and my requests are handled promptly. I can't address the safety issues before I got here, but there is a security officer or two walking the grounds at night, and on several occasions they have come up to me and asked who I was and where I lived in the complex, so they're at least making an effort. (More than I can say for other Midtown locations.) On the noise issue: I can't hear my neighbors at all, period. The random noises, the nearby club or other stuff that happens around the complex at night -- hey, that's called city life. If you can't handle that, look for a place out in Roswell or Newnan, seriously. (Ditto for having

I cannot believe the garbage that I have read about this place. While I have lived here for the past year, I have not had any problems. Yes, there can be noise at times and yes, there have been isolated instances of crime, but not to the degree that is being reported. The new management staff is awesome. I love living here and have referred several friends and coleagues who have all moved in within the last few months. The area is being revitalized at a fast pace, with some of the city's finest dining establishments within walking distance. It is only getting better.
